Busy Day

Jeanne and I met up with my parents today for lunch at the Podium. We were joined by Elwyna and her friend Rune. We chose Shi Lin so that everyone can try the xiao long bao, Shanghai soup dumplings. James joined us towards the end of lunch. Somewhere between the ongoing conversations over the food, Elwyna slid in the announcement that she and Rune are engaged. Sneaky :P

After lunch, Elwyna and Rune took their leave while the rest of us went around for some shopping. In between shops, I took Jeanne to the Santa Claus booth and snapped a pic.

Since my parents couldn’t find what they were looking for, we went to Mega Mall where they continued their search. Meanwhile, Jeanne and I window-shopped at Cyberzone. At one of the shops, she noticed a “clown”. She kept staring and wouldn’t leave. I asked her to go to the clown. At first, she wouldn’t budge but eventually she went forward and I snapped a pic.

Later, we had dinner at Mey Lin’s Pot Noodle House. Chinese again. But definitely the better experience, especially the pata tim. Highly recommended but not something you’d want to eat too often. The fats are sooo tempting and yummy once you give in. Definitely a health hazard.

After dinner, we went home for coffee and cinnamon rolls baked by Michelle. A great ending to a busy day!
