Leslie recently got back from NJ and today gave me the Ralco Short Throw Shifter (STS) Kit for the Genesis Coupe that I ordered and had delivered to him. It’s a complete kit containing a well-machined shifter (a very good copy of TWM Performance’s STS), a shiny height-adjustable shift knob (not gonna be installing this as I prefer the stock knob), shift boot retainer, and all the necessary nuts and bolts. Can’t wait to have it installed!
I’m sure it’s not a puzzle how I went from choosing between the Lancer EX GT-A and Impreza 2.0R Sport to the Genesis Coupe 2.0T. But just the same, here’s the tale of the tape:
The Ford Fiesta had a great showing at WRC Rally Sweden. Ford Fiestas swept the podium! Looks like Loeb and his also new Citroen DS3 is going to have a tougher time this year. If only they make Ford Fiestas here with those aggressive wide fenders with an option for an R2 Rally Kit.
The Arroyo mother and son tandem filed a bill against overstaying in the overtaking lane. How sweet! Looks like mommy got cranky when her convoy, no longer allowed to use wang-wangs, couldn’t go faster at NLEX. I suppose they are talking about NLEX and one or two other expressways because pretty much anywhere else:
- The traffic is horrendous and everyone is forced to use all the available lanes.
- There are two lanes but the outer lane is risky because of pedestrians, motorcycles, tricycles, kuligligs, carabao carts, and karitons.
- Only one lane (and there’s still a possibility of all the risks in #2).
In the bill, they want to increase the penalties when in fact, the real reason why it is happening is because it, as with many laws here, is not being enforced. Well, maybe with the higher penalties, the traffic enforcers can “charge” erring motorists for more thus providing them incentive to do their work.
