2013-02-09 to 10 Baguio, Benguet

Jeanne, Michelle, and I joined Leslie, Raine, Joset, Karen, and JB for a quick Baguio getaway. We left home past midnight. We hitched a ride with James who dropped us off where Leslie was waiting. We transferred our bags, picked up JB, and met up with the rest of the group at Shell NLEX.

After buying coffee and some necessities, we started off. Leslie and I took turns driving. During his turn, I was napping at the back when he woke me up and asked me if I know how to open a car. We were at a gas station for a restroom break. And Karen’s car had autolocked with the key inside!

Baby Brother

Last night, while we were having dinner, Jeanne suddenly exclaimed “Mommy, can I have a baby brother, please.” We all smiled and I joked “Do you want to buy one at the mall?”. She replied “You buy vegetables at the mall.” Oops, right you are, Jeanne.

Michelle added “Do you want to go like one of those kids on Facebook holding signs that go ‘Mommy said if I get a million likes, I get a baby brother'”. First time I heard of that. Guess that’s what you get for not having a Facebook account. Heh. Anyway, it shouldn’t take a million likes. It just takes two likes: the boy to like the girl, and the girl to like the boy :P

LTE Day

Today, iOS 6.1 was released. Aside from a bunch of hoohum fixes, it brought along the activation of Long Term Evolution (LTE). I truly hope Smart and Globe would simply just bump up everyone’s data connection up to LTE if you have a data plan and a compatible devices. Globe has indicated that it will do so. But Smart so far has only offered it free till March 30.

UPDATE: Smart will be offering it as an add-on (with corresponding add-on charges) to existing data plan subscribers. Sad sad sad.
