One of the easiest ways to expand the capabilities of multi-tools is adding a bit extender which not only increases reach but also allows the use of standard 1/4″ bits. Leatherman offers a bit extender and an inline ratcheting bit extender. But there’s another option, 711L’s mini ratchet wrenches which not only allows the use of standard bits but also provides more torque/leverage and access to tight spaces. These are very small, very well-made tools from 711L. Whether carried on their own, with a bit extender, or with a multi-tool, they really level up the flexibility of your EDC.
