I finally bit the bullet and pulled the trigger on my first real FPV goggles. I’m used to the wide field of view of my OTG receiver with Android phone mounted on a VR headset so I wanted to have the widest FOV possible. The widest would have been the Dominator HD2 at 50 degrees but I’m actually fine down to the 42 degrees of the Dominator HD3. The RunCam Split was a game-changer. It started with the RunCam 3. But due to form-factor similiarity issues with the GoPro Hero Session, it was pulled from the shelves and later came back as the RunCam Split. Linear vs Circular Polarized Antennas

Linear antennas are simple, cheap, light, durable and work well enough. They do suffer from polarization and multi-path interference. These issues are mitigated with circular polarized antennas. On the sending side, circular polarized antennas send usable signals regardless of orientation. On the receiving side, they capture polarized signals and– when using matching circular polarized antennas– drop multi-path interference leading to a cleaner picture. Fixing A Broken VTX

I burnt out my VTX03 during a crash so I got and installed a VTX01 on my Tiny Whoop. But this afternoon, I was inspecting it when I noticed a burnt component. At first, I thought it was a capacitor. First step is to find out the part number. But the component was burnt beyond recognition. So I searched for photos that show the part and found this: 
 After some more digging, I found out that the burnt component is actually a resistor, a zero-ohm link. Link, that’s like connect, bridge. So I just simply bridged the terminals of the burnt resistor with a bit of solder.
And just like that the VTX03 lit up back to life!
