Dakoyu/Warna Free P4/Arc Clone

New Multitool Aims To Topple The Leatherman Arc! (Dakoyu Fan Exclusive)

Just saw Hvac Budget’s new video on the new Dakoyu/Warna multi-tool. This is more of a Free P4 clone rather than an Arc clone. It has a D2 steel blade which is very similar to the Arc blade which is MagnaCut. But the rest of the tools are pretty much Free P4. There’s the serrated blade, the saw, the scissors, Philips head, the flathead, can/bottle opener, file, and awl. There’s just no ruler but pretty much Free P4. This actually fills in a gap in the market since the Free P4 seems to have been discontinued.

But at $85, it seems to me a bit overpriced. The Leatherman Wave is $120 and the clones are usually at the $40 range or about a third. By interpolation, $85 would seem to be just right since the Arc is $250. But we have to remember that many, including myself, consider the Arc overpriced. So that puts this tool in the overpriced range as far as clone go. Maybe $50-60 would be a better price.

Enter Nextool, who, a couple of years ago, introduced their own tools that use the flat bit. Their AS2 Flat Extension Bit Kit, is a compelling option for owners of these tools and, of course, Leatherman tool owners.
